Bagni Di Lucca is getting ready for another weekend of carnival fun. This time it’s “Pane e Coriandoli” (bread and confetti) which takes place this Sunday, 18th February, from 2 pm at Ponte a Seraglio’s Casinò.

Tickets for the event, price five euros, are available at the event venue on the day or at the following places: Isola grocery store in San Gemignano di Controni, Topo Gigio bar restaurant at Fabbriche di Casabasciana, Aldo Serra stationery shop in Fornoli, Benabbio newsagents, Da Alino restaurant in Tana Termini, Monaco bar at Ponte a Serraglio, La Tana del Ghiro restaurant in via Letizia, da Massimo bar at Villa, Petri tobacconist in Villa , Giannini grocery store in San Cassiano di Controni and from Roberto Lucchesi on telephone no 339 6167580. It’s important to get your tickets ASAP since the turnout last year was really huge and we need to know roughly the number of people who will attend.
The festival aims to give help to families in need in our area and is organized by Roberto Lucchesi, from San Cassiano di Controni, who returned to Bagni after thirty years of activity in Romagna’s tourism sector.
The event is called “Bread and confetti” precisely because it’s aimed at the collection of food to be donated to the very active Auser Filo d’argento (Silver wire) association.
“Last year – says Lucchesi – we delivered over two hundred pounds weight of food to the association to be distributed to needy families. Anyone who wants to participate, in addition to ticket payment, must bring an item of food even if it’s just a packet of pasta. I would also like the Casinò to be visited by those who have never set foot there. I would like all children to admire Giglio (Lily) and Pavone (Peacock) halls, where people like Giacomo Puccini and Franz Listz performed – and where there will be amusements for children including face-painting, balloon sculpture etc. and animation, while in the hall of the lilies music of the 70s and 80s will be played. It’s going to be a party especially for families, but everyone will be able to participate, even those who are not masked. I also thought of the many friends I made in Romagna in my time there. For them I am setting up an exhibition with photos taken in the room I managed at Lido di Savio (Ravenna)”.

The event is organized with the patronage of BDL Municipality and the collaboration of its Pro Loco and the Auser filo di argento association. Snacks and refreshments, with hot and cold drinks, are included in the admission price.
So get your tickets now before it’s too late. Knowing Roberto it’s going to be a real fun event!
