I was shocked to see gallons and gallons of good milk being wasted in various areas of Italy Sardinia, Tuscany, Sicily just because these poor hard working farmers are not paid a fair price for a litre of milk does not mean that they are entitled to waste what these hard working animals have produced it is a real scandal. I am glad that some farmers saw it fit to donate their milk to little school children who gladly lined up with their bottles eagerly awaiting their free treat. This supermarket in the UK is helping maintain the animals and offers a fair price to purchase he milk from its own milk dairy farmers this seems to be the best way forward each country produces their own milk consequently cheeses butter yoghurt cream etc. My soul wept on seeing those images of such waste when there are so many needy people in Italy and around the planet. I agree though of course that the farmers should receive a fair price. Those people in offices in cities setting those ridiculous prices should try spending a day mucking out feeding milking the creatures to see for themselves how tough the whole process can be and that a fair price should be surely negotiated or adopt the UK fair and positively sound system!
