Don’t miss out on this Sunday’s Spring Jazz Concert at Bagni di Lucca’s Library. It’s at 6 pm and it’s essential to book by phoning 0583 87619 or 335 5821084.
Italian jazz is thriving and flowering just like the spring which has finally reached us. I particularly love Italian female jazz vocalists like Michela Lombardi. This year we are privileged to have Elisa Mini who is equally brilliant. The theme this year is Brazilian music which I love!

For more on Elisa do consult her web page at

There are no tickets to purchase but the audience is expected to contribute a nominal fee of Euros 5 which will go towards the maintenance of Bagni di Lucca’s protest cemetery.
For more of the magnificent work carried out on this once neglected place do see my various posts on it at:

The cemetery is indeed a place to recollect those memorable lines from Gray’s Elegy
The boast of heraldry, the pomp of pow’r,
And all that beauty, all that wealth e’er gave,
Awaits alike th’ inevitable hour.
The paths of glory lead but to the grave.
So enjoy yourselves now while you can! See you there.
