A walk around the nearby village of Monti di Villa brought us to its theatre and community centre for a triple bill.
We managed to attend the first part: a song and piano recital. It’s not often one gets to hear either Purcell or Faure here …very competently performed by Stefania Casu and Elisabetta Francesconi.
I leave others to describe the following two parts of the bill as we were unable to remain. Suffice it to say that it was the Harleys band!
So much musical variety from one small village in one evening!
Una passeggiata nel vicino borgo di Monti di Villa ci ha portato al teatrino e il centro comunitario per un triplo spettacolo.
Siamo riusciti ad assistere alla prima parte: un recital di canto e pianoforte con Stefania Casu e Elisabetta Francesconi. Non capita spesso di ascoltare Purcell o Fauré qui… e eseguiti con grande competenza.
Lascio ad altri la descrizione delle due parti successive del programma, dato che non siamo riusciti a rimanere. Basti dire che si trattava della band Harleys!
Tanta varietà musicale da un piccolo borgo in una sola sera!
