A New View of Longoio

It’s usually quite easy to get a photo of one’s village from the other side of the Lima valley. Just take the road up to Benabbio and Granaiola and Pieve di Monte di Villa and several other villages this side of the river are easily spotted. Not so easy with our village Longoio and its neighbour Mobbiano. This is because they’re tucked away in a valley which has no road facing it on the other side of the Lima valley.

Looking at the map I decided that the best way to photograph our villages would be to take the Benabbio road and then head eastwards through the Pizzorne woods. The other day we did just this and found an Ideal place to take our photos. Remember, Longoio is seen to the left and Mobbiano is seen to the right. The mountain above is called the Monte Incoronata.
