Pieve di Monti di Villa’s ‘Presepe Vivente’ – Living Crib – a great Christmas tradition in this part of the world. The celebration of the Nativity took place yesterday in a village setting of traditional arts and crafts with stalls offering mulled wine, barley soup, fried pasta and doughnuts. The crisp, clear day concluded with the arrival of the Holy Family and hot air balloons launched into the sunset. It was a truly memorable occasion with a lovely atmosphere on the finest of winter days.

Il presepe vivente di Pieve di Monti di Villa: una grande tradizione natalizia. La celebrazione della Natività si è svolta ieri in un ambiente di villaggio con arti e mestieri tradizionali e bancarelle offrendo vin brulé, zuppa d’orzo, pasta fritta e ciambelle. La giornata tersa e limpida si è conclusa con l’arrivo della Sacra Famiglia e con il lancio di mongolfiere.
