A visit to the dentist in Lucca yesterday also (and rather more pleasantly) included seeing the moving exhibition on Giacomo Puccini’s last days at his birth house, followed by a walk along the Walls of Lucca in the late afternoon, where the low sun caught the autumn leaves and cast long shadows across the path, and then on to a quieter stretch with leaves gathered at the edges and only a few people passing in the soft winter light, before returning to the city and the statue of Giacomo Puccini in a small square, with the Puccini Museum just behind—very much part of the everyday life of Lucca.

Una visita ieri dal dentista a Lucca (molto più piacevole) ha anche incluso la visita alla toccante mostra sugli ultimi giorni di Puccini nella sua casa natale e una bella passeggiata sulle mura cittadine.
