Next door to one of the main reasons for a trip into Lucca – the Bazar Sri Lanka 2 in Borgo Giannotti, excellent for everything from curry powder to red lentils and ginger beer – is the Da Dino restaurant serving simple but delicious fare characteristic of the serendipitous island.
We had a tray of rice, jackfruit, beetroot, cashew nuts and chicken. Meant to be for one person it filled us two and all for €12. The friendly and helpful family staff with the sweet surroundings were a bonus and made us feel we were back in Sri Lanka – as we were in 2020.

Abbiamo ordinato un vassoio di riso, jackfruit, barbabietola, anacardi e pollo. Pensato per una persona, ci ha riempito due, il tutto per 12 euro. Il personale familiare, cordiale e disponibile, e l’ambiente accogliente sono stati un ulteriore vantaggio e ci hanno fatto sentire di nuovo in Sri Lanka, come nel 2020.
