I had to return to one of the world’s most beautiful cities, Krakow …twenty four years after I motorcycled to it on my Transalp from London. This time I took Sandra with me. Before heading for our tenement house by the old town we visited the National museum with its extensive display of nineteenth and twentieth century Polish art and the Czartoryskich mansion which houses that exquisite Leonardo da Vinci portrait ‘The lady with a pet ermine’..

It was great to return and taste cheese and blueberry pierogi too!

Dovevo tornare in una delle città più belle del mondo, Cracovia… ventiquattro anni dopo averla raggiunta in motocicletta durante la mia Transalp. Questa volta con Sandra. Qualche scatto dal Museo Nazionale e dal Museo Czartoryskich, che ospita lo splendido ritratto di Leonardo da Vinci “La dama con l’ermellino”. È stato fantastico tornare e assaggiare i pierogi al formaggio e ai mirtilli!
