The zany musical telling the story of a recent college graduate named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment on Avenue Q was reincarnated with the Italian title translatable as ‘What a hard luck story I am’ and moved from Broadway to Monti di Villa, the little mountain village near us.

The cast with their puppet characters was enthusiastically brilliant. The direction under a highly talented local theatrical Montedivillan was fast moving and the production was quite infectious. Although the audience were warned that nude puppets would be appearing all was taken in with great humour and the entertainment was rounded off with drinks and a buffet meal.

Who ever said that we would miss London’s West End by living in a remote mountain valley? Monte di Villa’s little theatre changes all that. Previous productions have even included an entire opera! We look forward to their next big hit!

Il bizzarro musical che racconta la storia di un neolaureato di nome Princeton che si trasferisce in un misero appartamento newyorkese in Avenue Q è stato reincarnato in versione italiana e trasferito da Broadway a Monti di Villa, il piccolo villaggio di montagna vicino a noi.

Il cast con i suoi personaggi di marionette è stato brillante ed entusiasta. La regia, affidata a un talentuoso attore teatrale locale di Monte di Villa, è stata veloce e coinvolgente e la produzione è stata davvero contagiosa. Sebbene il pubblico fosse stato avvisato che sarebbero comparse marionette nude, tutto è stato accolto con grande umorismo e l’intrattenimento si è concluso con drink e un buffet.

Chi ha mai detto che avremmo perso il West End londinese vivendo in una remota valle di montagna? Il piccolo teatro di Monte di Villa cambia tutto. Le produzioni precedenti hanno persino incluso un’intera opera! Non vediamo l’ora del loro prossimo grande successo!
